Continuing in our 25th year of service to the spirit of Clear and Compassionate Communication and Skill Building for Business and Personal Growth.

Thank you for dropping what you're doing and reading this - we hope you're well - just wanted to say hello and keep you apprised of exciting events up and coming.

On Thursday November 30,  from 6-9 pm, The Cambridge Coaching Collaborative is sponsoring a presentation by Professor Sherry H. Penney, founding director of the Center for Collaborative Leadership at UMass Boston's College of Management. Dr. Penney will demonstrate the fine points of the center's distinguished Emerging Leaders Program, a collaborative, service-oriented network for aspiring leaders in the greater-Boston professional community.

Dr. Penney will also discuss with us how coaching plays a vital role in benefiting young leaders to effectively develop strategy, create goals and reach significant milestones in their business and civic endeavors.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us as members of our very own special coaching community
to share our stories and experiences of collaboration and community spirit with one of Boston's
great leadership mentors.

Cambridge Coaching Collaborative meetings are held on the 2nd floor in the Aquarium Room (next to the Zephyr Restaurant) in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 575 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The American Holistic Nurses Association will host Rob on Tuesday December 5, 2006, 7 -9 pm, at the Candleshop Inn in York Beach, Maine, for a presentation entitled Collaboration and Compassion: Communicating with Care, where he will discuss his 5 Steps to Success communication method.

This communication model (adapted from Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication - the Language of Compassion) is successfully applied all over the world, and teaches how you can:

  • Speak from your Authentic Self, from the core of your being
  • Project modulated tones of voice and motivating pictures
  • Manage and Utilize your Emotions Productively
  • Breathe rapport into your Conversations and Presentations
  • Resolve a wide variety of Conflicts through Clear and Compassionate Action Language

The Massachusetts International Society for Performance Improvement will feature Rob's program entitled Increase Your Emotional Intelligence: the practice of Compassionate Conflict Resolution on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, from 6-8:30 pm.

Sit back and take it in or stand up and say it out loud, this interactive workshop will introduce you to the practice of Clear and Compassionate Communication for everyday and not-so-everyday situations.

We sometimes find ourselves caught off guard when someone says or does something and find that we are confused, irritated or stressed. Communication can get very difficult all of a sudden.

It would benefit us to have a practice to fall back on, a reliable model that quickly increases our chances for realignment, deep listening and collaborative problem solving.

This night's program will highlight Rob's trademark life-script writing and role-playing exercises, providing a deep-down, emotionally-tactile experience that you don't just walk away from, you carry with you moving forward.

The event will be held at Tufts Health Plan, 333 Wyman Street, Waltham, MA. and is open to the public. Cost is $7 for ISPI members and $15 for non-members. For more information about ISPI click here

You may or may not know this by now,
but Rob takes his coaching wherever he goes,
be it either in the drink or on the fly.
On January 11 he's flying off to swim
in yet another deep blue sea.
