25 years of service to the spirit of Clear and Compassionate Communication and Skill Building for Business
and Personal Growth.
Greetings friends - we hope you're
well - warmed and excited by the returning of the sun to lengthen
and strengthen the daylight into us.
We are eager and excited too as our community grows, and hope that you
continue to be with us and join us in the near future.
We'd
love to have you as our guest
at the Cambridge Coaching Collaborative on Tuesday February 20,
from 6-9 pm.
We're sponsoring a presentation entitled
The Deloitte & Touche Story : How Internal Coaching Creates Direction, Focus and Confidence.
Join us for a lively discussion around internal coaching led by two representatives from
Deloitte & Touche, a pioneer in the development of
internal coaching in professional services firms and a leader in its
implementation.
Wendy Berk, Sr. Marketing Manager, will describe how coaching helps the coachee by
creating the drive and providing the direction, focus and confidence necessary to be proactive in improving a career path and Carly
Goldsmith, her coach, will share her experience about how Deloitte Career Connections,
Deloitte's internal coaching group, has evolved since 2002 in
enabling managers and leaders to develop core competencies and
maximizing their effectiveness.
They will show us how coaching has assisted
in the retention of valuable employees, accelerated the professional development of its high potential future leaders and helped Deloitte become an employer of choice.
Carly is a member of the
International Coach Federation. She is certified in the
Lominger Leadership Architect Suite of Tools
and in Career Coaching by the
International Career Management Training Foundation.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University and is currently pursuing her Professional Coach Certification at
Coach U
and her
MBTI
Qualification.
Wendy came to coaching after discovering that despite a continued love for her marketing career, she felt an increasing disconnect between her passions and the services she was marketing. That's when she decided to take advantage of Deloitte’s internal coaching services, Career Connections,
to explore opportunities that would re-enable her to combine her marketing skills and passions she believes in.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us as members of our own special coaching
community to once again share our stories and experiences first-hand with two of Boston's finest in the field.
Cambridge Coaching Collaborative meetings are held
on the 2nd floor in the Aquarium Room (next to the Zephyr Restaurant) in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 575 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

This Month's $50 Free Tip:
Say it, do Spray it...
SPRAY IT... Remember this expression when we were kids: "Say it - don't spray it!"?
A light hearted admonishment for those of us with a bit too much enthusiasm
were asked to keep our speaking saliva closer to our own bodies.
As an adult, I'm a bit embarrassed to say, I still find that my
enthusiasm doth overflow from time to time. And ... I tickle myself with
the notion of "Living Waters" and the "Fountain of Youth" and more
abstract notions that my speaking
might create and promulgate love.
Let's experiment with speaking our desires like children, the kind of
gleefulness that's contagious. Science has shown that harsh and
angry
speaking actually creates a bitter poison in one's saliva and blood.
But, we can actually make life sweet - when words such as: "Let wonder and
awesome power rule inside of you," leaves a GOOD taste in the mouth.
SssssPray
it! Let us be meditative and mindful of the good health we wish to
convey and cultivate deeply the fertile ground of speaking and listening with nourishing ideas
and dreams.
As coaches, friends and seekers of joy, truth and good health we can befarmers of the fruits we wish to sow. Spray it!

Would you Rather be... SAFE and POOR or HOKEY and RICH?
This in your face question was posed to me and two thousand of my closest friends some months ago at
my first Millionaire Mind Intensive. The speaker was T. Harv Ecker,
founder of Peak Potentials. I knew where T. Harv was leading us. He was
prompting us to investigate our belief systems and thoughts: what he calls "files". These files either work for us or against us. As we become used to
our way of thinking we can become attached to thinking in ways that are beneficial and at other times detrimental.
To "break" the bad habit of destructive thinking, T. Harv asked us throughout the three days to try
on "hokey" exercises, to suspend our disbelief to these "new files" and to try them on for size. One of the approaches was
to stand up with joy and turn to our audience neighbor and exchange
enthusiastic high fives. While looking them in the eye we would
proclaim to each other:
"YOU! have a Millionaire Mind!"
After a while instead of seeming hokey to me, I began to enjoy this exercise and I realized one of the
reasons is this: when we participate in the shaping of our thoughts and truthfully try on for size new and beneficial approaches, we actually grow new neural nets.
These brain cells, these connections, help us to "install new files" and these new files, these new beliefs
can help us create a new destiny - to make more money, to feel more alive and appreciative of life, to have a deeper sense of connection with others.
Would you rather be SAFE and POOR, UNHAPPY, FATIGUED or RICH, HAPPY and ENERGIZED?
Come on over I need to give you a high five! And
while you're here, please take my recommendation to pursue the Millionaire Mind
course of action with me. You can click to access any or all of these three methods:
For your consideration, a disclosure:
The links we provide here for you to register at Peak Potential may result in my earning a referral commission if, during a Millionaire Mind Intensive,
you decide to take advantage of the steep discounts on certain "advanced" Peak Potential offerings during your seminar. In all other connections with Peak Potentials, I earn no money whatsoever, I pass along the information from my enthusiastic heart.

Waaaaaa ZAPPENING?
The wonder of life is also the terror of life. What is going to ZAP next?
Will I achieve the lightning bolt of enlightenment or will I be electrocuted?
The Secret
is a wonderful movie because when I watch it alone or with friends, I feel inspired. It inspires me to believe I can
change and improve my own DNA simply by creating uplifting images and breathing life into the future I seek.
Are the ZAPS in your life happening TO you or are you delighted to find the world unfolding as you intend it to unfold?
You may read these words and wonder: "how can I better focus my mind to achieve my desires?
Or you may have a skeptical critique: "what is this hocus pocus on focus?"
Either way, the energy you are experiencing right now is, in some way, effecting you and the field around you. Experiment.
If you evince a light-hearted approach to the challenges before you, what contrasts do you notice
to your sometimes negative style of thinking and speaking?
To me, the phrase: "It's all good..." means I can use any state for goodness sake. What is it YOU want? Goodness Knows.
Tell the ones you love or the ones who support you the most and tell them "why". This conversation can ZAP out into the world in a wonderful unfolding.
